Key Concepts — Quick Reference

Speaking Key Concepts

  • OREO Introduction基本となる型:Opinion(意見)→ Reason(理由)→ Example(具体例)→ Opinion Restated(意見の再提示)。
  • Making Examples Specific曖昧な例("my friend")を、具体的な例("my friend Rina chose a local college because her family could not afford the fees")に変える技術です。
Online learning is better" → "Online learning tends to be more effective in some cases."
  • Responding to Counter-Arguments「
  • Paraphrasing the Question
  • Signposting"I have two reasons."、"Firstly…"、"On the other hand…"、"So overall…"

Writing Key Concepts

  • Topic Sentences
  • Concession Structure"While I understand that X, I would argue that Y."
  • Explaining Your Evidence
  • Peer Review
  • Writing Under Time Pressure
